Overview

Cousin of Pro Bowl cornerback Antonio Cromartie, Dominique shares the same football ability. Small school prospect who will be this year's coveted small school sleeper. Was the talk of the Senior Bowl, showing dominance in the drills and in the game. Was one of the stories of the NFL Combine as well, running a blazing 4.28 and showing very well in all of the drills. Also put up a very impressive 17 reps at 184 pounds.

Strengths

Possesses fantastic jumping ability and speed. No ball is out of bounds. Great hands to pick off the pass. Can play safety or corner. Fluid hips. Able to recover well. Strong for his size. Long and lanky. Can lay the wood. You have to love his height. Played great against good competition. Matches up well against tall receivers, but is quick and agile enough to handle the waterbugs too. Amazing recovery speed and quickness. Breaks up anything he gets to.

Weaknesses

Bulk is inadequate. Didn't play against top flight competition. Isn't terribly physical and won't be a threat to come up and hit in the run game. May be more of a one-dimensional cover corner. Sits down too quickly on occasion and overcommits on deaks.

Projection

After shining in Mobile and Indy, "DRC" has separated himself from the big school corners. May be the first corner selected, and has a solid chance to go top 10. Bulk and level of competition will hold him back some, but if he shares the same blood as Antonio Cromartie, he should be a very solid starter.

How this guy was overlooked by all of the big schools is amazing. The only thing he is lacking in, bulk, can be easily corrected by good eating & a pro strength & conditioning coach. He will go in the top 20. He's good enough that a team, (like the Cowboys), may trade up to get him.

Cover CB who has the potential of his cousin, he has great size, excellent speed and can get up their with any WR...he needs to work on his skills against the run and needs to be more physical.
