Overview

2006 Team MVP and All Big 10 selection, Spencer had his coming out party in 2006 wreaking havoc in backfields. He looks to be one of the most impressive tweeners in this year's draft.

Strengths

Is a pass rush extraordinaire. Makes up ground in a hurry and always is near the ball. High motor and plays at 110%. Chooses lanes wisely and won't waste movements. "Tweener" status may improve his status.

Weaknesses

Might not be big enough to play end or athletic enough to play linebacker. Does not have a lot of starting experience. Frame isnt impressive at this point. Was shut down by elite tackles like Joe Thomas.

Projection

Anthony really made a name for himself this season and had very gaudy numbers(26 TFLs). At this point looks to be a 4-3 end, but will workout as a linebacker as well. Solid 2nd round, may move way into the first.

Reminds me a great deal of Mike Vrabel, who failed at DE but became a very good 3-4 OLB. Great quickness and reaction, smart guy, plays well in space. Not a great pass rusher for a DE but has some ability.

Spencer is a tweener, and so it will be interesting to see how he develops. He was a good player for a bad team, and he has enough athleticism and explosiveness to be a factor at the next level. I'm just not sure if he'll be playing with his hand down.

Is a workout monster as will prove at the combine. Seemingly took plays off junior season. Turned it up and played phenomenal during senior campaign.

Extremely quick off the ball, has a kind of Elvis Dumervill knack for getting to the QB in a tougher conference. Very stout against the run for being an under-sized DE. I think this guy will test very well at the LB drills at the combine. Late 2nd early-mid 3rd to a 3-4 team. Will have good pro career.
