A player in the mold of Adalius Thomas who can play a number of spots on a defense. Gholston was an integral part in the Buckeye defense in 2007 that was allowed the fewest points per game.

Pass rushing-lines up at DE and at LB. Has all the moves to get to the ball carrier. Is best with his hand on the ground rushing the passer. Plays with a mean streak. Quick off the snap and can cover a lot of ground quickly. Hard tackler. Has come up big in the big games.

Will be out of position at DE and may have to convert to linebacker in the NFL. Has long spells where he disappears. Not a full motor guy. Plays down to the competition and seems to only want to play when the lights are on.

Will most likely be a 4-3 defensive end, but might see some time 3-4 rush linebacker as well. Has a lot of versatility to play a few positions. Will be a 1st round pick if he declares for the 2007.

If he enters early Cincinnati would snag him in a heart beat he is the strong side backer/3-4 otside backer they are looking for.
