OverviewComes into the 2007 as a top cover corner. Continuing the long tradition of Buckeye defensive backs, Jenkins may be the next underclassmen to declare for the NFL Draft.
StrengthsVersatility-Able to play any spot in the secondary. Is tough enough to be a safety, is fast and instinctive enough to play corner. Tremendous ball skills. Very physical throughout the play. Able blitzer. Big upside. Rarely beat deep.
WeaknessesDoes not posses elite speed. Where will he project at the next level? Will the tweener label hurt him?
ProjectionLike Buckeye corners before him, Jenkins will most likely garner a first round grade and will likely leave Columbus after this year and be one of the first defensive backs taken. Will most likely be tried first at corner, but has the ability to play safety as well.

At 19 and a 3 year starter for Corner Back U, this kid has tremendous potential. He has the potential to redefine the position and can make a team better without making plays (opponents will game plan staying away from him.) User: Braves5858 Date/Time: 07/15/2007 - 11:48PM EDT Predicted Round: Round 1 After watching him play last season he looks like true shutdown corner at the college level and guy who will be a force once he reaches the NFL. He reminds me alot of Nate Clements and fully expect for him to be a top 10 pick when he decides to enter the draft be it this year or the next Rate This Player |
