Overview

Already one of college football's best players, Laurinaitis has little left to prove. He has led an Ohio State team to 2 straight BCS Championship games and has taken home a lot of personal hardware. A complete backer who can tackle, cover, and make plays, he could be one of the first defensive players taken in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Strengths

Unparalleled instincts-finds a way to the ball and makes the play. Excellent form in wrap up and big hit tackles. Able to cover and has softer hands that you might think. Chooses correct lanes and does not waste time. Pad level is always where it needs to be. Smart, leader, has all the intangibles.

Weaknesses

Isn't a great athlete. Won't wow you on the track or in the weight room. Upper body strength needs improvement.

Projection

One of the more complete overall players in college football, seems to have everything you would look for. Is a franchise linebacker in the mold of an AJ Hawk, and could have as much upside as the former Buckeye.
