Overview

4 year starter and returning captain. Was a 2006 Consensus All-American. Outland Trophy front runner and should win a number of award throughout the Big 10 and NCAA.

Strengths

Play recognition-learns the play as it happens and makes proper adjustments. Mirrors defenders flawlessly. Is an elite technician. Above average run and pass defender. Has experience in zone and man blocking schemes. Tough, fierce, competitive. Has mastered many nuances of the game.

Weaknesses

Is not athletic and may get beat at the next level. Has a tougher time with bull-rushers. Has a high center of gravity and smaller ends can win the position battle. A tad overrated due to being a tackle at Michigan.

Projection

The consensus top tackle on most boards. Shouldn't allow any sacks this year and should be a top 10 pick in the 2008 Draft. Would have likely been a top 10 pick in last year's draft and history has shown tackles that come back for a senior year always improve.

Versatile offensive tackle has experience playing on both the right and left. Could have been top 5 pick last year (Big 10 OL of the year over Joe Thomas and 5th pick Levi Brown), but returned for a title shot with core group of Henne and Hart. Bigger/ stronger and more physical than Sam Baker,The USC Offensive tackle prospect, competing for top OT spot. Adequate footwork for a left tackle. Likely Top 5 pick.
