CDS Profile
Charles is a very talented young man and has decided to bypass his senior year in order to enter the 2006 NFL Draft. A two-way player as a cornerback and receiver, Charles is wiry and blazing fast with loose hips and outstanding form. He is a tad small for the NFL but is similar in size to West Virginia's former 2005 first round draft pick Pac Man Jones. Although Charles played a lot on the offensive side of the ball this year including a stellar performance in the Jayhawks' convincing 42-13 win over Houston in the Fort Worth Bowl, he'll be drafted to play his natural cornerback position in the NFL. Charles was also in charge of punt return duties where he proved to be a very strong threat (averaged 9.7 yards on 41 punts returns in 2005) and will only improve his draft stock. This kid has talent and has great NFL potential. He could be drafted as high as the second round in the 2006 NFL Draft.
