CDS Profile
Brian's reputation and repeat three-time all A-10 first-team selection is well deserved. He has proven that he is as good as last year's best A-10 LB (Liam Ezekiel at Northeastern) and should do as well (or better) at the next level. Brian is a battler who ocassionally delivers the big, knockout blow. He is a solid run-stuffer, but struggles some in space, and will definitely be a liability in the passing game at the next level early on. He is also undersized and will have to bulk up some if he is to have any chance as a run-stuffing ILB. Fortunately he is a good leaper, and so with some solid pro coaching he might overcome his pass-defending issues with time and reps. He is a very smart, coachable guy though who will surprise with his toughness and productivity. The kind who will be tough to cut if he sneaks into a camp--should he not hear his name called during the 2006 NFL draft.
