CDS Profile
A 4 year starter, Bazanez has plenty of big game experience. Bazanez is the captain for a highly potent Wildcat offense. He's quite durable, and leads this offense after Noah Herron went into the NFL. Brett was 2nd in the Big 10 in scoring, and had a good completion percentage at 63%. Bazanez's biggest strength is his leadership skills as well as his experience. In 2005, he put those intangibles together along with some fantastic stats in a passer friendly offense to have a great year. He was named to numerous awards(above) and really made the most of his senior campaign. He sets up very well in the pocket, his release point is ideal, and he is as good at making throws on the run as anyone. His knowledge for the game is good and is a hard worker and wants to learn about his opponent. He dosent have the NFL arm or the NFL size, but he does have high intangibles that might translate into a quality backup. I think he is right in between a quality backup and a fair starter, and might be a guy we look at down the road as a good pick late in the draft.
