The number 2 DB on the team, Anwar was tested much more than teammate Alan Zemaitis, and usually won the battle. Anwar is a good talent who has great cover skills and ball skills. He knows where the ball is in the air and rarely is out of position. He had trouble with taller targets like Ernie Wheelwright of Minnesota and sometimes can get held up at point of attack. A great wrap up tackler, Phillips has been overshadowed by teammates and competition and there are a lot of juries who have differing opinion on him as being a 2nd rounder to a 6th rounder. I think Rounds 3-4 will be where he ends up.
