CDS Profile
Antonio Malone is an average CB prospect for the 2006 NFL Draft. Malone has good speed, as he ran around a 4.4 as a junior at Toledo's pro day, but put on some weight since then and ran almost a 4.6 at the combine. He has done well considering the MAC has some of the most explosive offenses in the country and excels in pass coverage because of good awareness along with speed. At around 6'0, Malone boasts good height for a CB, but is not a great play-maker in terms of interceptions, and his coverage skills--despite his great tools--are average. There are also some chacacter concerns here. With a somewhat weak CB class for the 2006 NFL Draft, Malone has an outside shot to be drafted, but it would be at the earliest late day two.
