CDS Profile

Anthony Jordan is a hard-nosed middle linebacker in conference not known for tough defensive players.  Toledo, known for its potent offensive attack, has a strong leader in the middle of their defense in Jordan.  Good size and durability are two obvious positives for Jordan as an NFL prospect.  He has added weight but still remains a bit undersized at 232 lbs.  One of the top inside linebackers in the nation, Jordan has been productive in his three years at Toledo, tallying over 100 tackles as a sophomore and junior.  He excels in stuffing the run, but lacks ideal coverage skills.  Jordan may project as a two-down run-stuffer in the NFL, but could be a steal for a team struggling in run defense.  Overall, Anthony Jordan is a marginal NFL MLB prospect who only posted 17 reps of 225 at Toledo's pro day, which raises questions about his strength.  He should get a look anywhere from the fifth round and on in the 2006 NFL Draft.
