CDS Profile

Alan is a fierce competitior and the leader of a tough Nittany Lion defense. In his 4 years at PSU he has revitalized a horrible defense and brought it back to respectability. His long arms and legs make him a tough object for a receiver to get around. Very fluid hips and good closing and recovery speed, Alan is rarely out of position or out of the play. He is one of the most intense individuals in the NCAA, and that attitude translates onto the football field. In the last few years, he hasnt seen many balls thrown his way. Alan wont intercept a lot of passes, but he has a good ammount of PBU(10) and INTs (6) this year. His footwork and leadership ability will set him apart. The only questions that surround him are how fast is he and will have have to change positions at the next level to safety. He is best suited in a cover 2 scheme, and struggle in a man to man situation.  A quality person who is still not getting alot of the hype he should after not working out all that well after his senior year. AZ will still be a 2nd -3rd round pick in the upcoming 2006 NFL Draft. He is one of the better straight up football players in the draft this year.
