Adrian has the dirty job in football, where you work the hardest and get noticed the least. He is a classic throwback fullback. Nowadays people try and convert bigger backs who have no idea how to block, but Adrian is a blocking machine and can also grind out some 1 yard gains in goal line situations. A large part of DonTrelle Moore's success can be credited to the hard work and dedication of Adrian Byrd. Despite getting many short yardage runs, he had an impressive yard per carry average of 5.1 yards. He racked up 4 special teams tackles, showing good effort, and that team first attitude. Adrian is a great blocker and could be a great special teams player at the next level as well. I expect him to be taken in the 6th to 7th round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
