CDS Profile
Big, nasty, protypical University of Michigan Lineman. Has played with the best and went where OL are prioritized. He is a 2-time All Big 10 Award recipient and 2nd Team All American. This guy is everything you look for in a LG, but has turned C. Hes big and is equally adequate at blocking for the run or the pass. He was a big part of the best OL in college football last year. Most likely a 2nd rounder, could be one of the first OL off the board come April. A heralded recruit all the way from high school, going pro will be next on his list. He did a very nice job at the combine and showed everyone that he is a much better athlete than many were giving him credit for being. While some other names have since still unfairly crept ahead of him as an interior lineman (primarily because it is perceived that they have a better "upside" than Big Dave) there is still no more better, consistent, versatile, powerful, run-game mauler availaible in this draft than this guy. Expect him to go in the first half of round two.
