CDS Profile
Just another great Wisconsin offensive lineman. Dan plays the LG position and plays it well. He is a starting senior who has made holes for Anthony Davis and other backs in his tenure in Madison. He is quick on his feet and his hands are actually pretty fast. He?s not afraid to pull out, or stay in, or get on the ground. This line in Wisconsin is one of the best and a big reason is because of number 67. He?s nothing very special, but he is one of the best guards in the country, and that is saying something. I see him as a first day pick who rises the more yards Anthony Davis runs for and the more wins Wisconsin gathers.. He plays guard as good as anyone I have seen all year. He will pull out and block a guy 15 yards down the field if they play calls for it. He is very athletic and strong with his 340 pound frame. He plays the game intelligently and gives the QB and RB all the time they need. He is a better run blocker than pass blocker, but is ahead of the curve on both. In this his senior year, he is making a case to be considered as a top interior lineman and Outland Trophy Winner. The only concern is his weight fluctuation. Coming into the 2004 season he was 300, now he is 340. Those extra 40 helped out severely this year en route to a great Wisconsin year. I look for him to be one of the first guards taken in the 2005 NFL Draft.
