CDS Profile
Good initial burst to and through the hole, a natural athlete who makes sharp cuts when he gets through the line and does a good job of bouncing runs to the outside. Looks like he's still filling out and could carry 215-220 without slowing, good elusiveness, hits the cutback with a quick plant-and-drive. Adequate-to-good top end speed, with the potential to turn the corner in the NFL. A cut-and-burst runner with good vision in the open field, makes good cuts against the grain. Good second gear but won't run away from faster DB's. An excellent receiver out of the backfield, however has room to improve in terms of recognition skills, but is a smooth route runner with excellent hands. Snatches the ball while on the run and also shows the ability to adjust to the poorly thrown ball. Has a lot of upside in this area. Quicker than he times and bigger than he measures he has some Marcus Allen-type qualities, but less explosive and lacking Allen's elite running instincts. Had some nicks as a junior but has never missed a full game because of injury. Will need to do a better job of running with pad-level in order to protect his body in the NFL. Still he doesn't have a major injury to speak of.
Mr. Consistent. Ciatrick has played in all 38 games during his stellar 3-year career. The junior has declared for the draft. He has split the backfield with a few different backs. With a breakout year this year, he has set himself up to be the 4th RB selected. Ciatrick is an up and comer, but an underachiever up until his junior season, should work on the mastering the whole position, especially blocking. Still pretty raw. Any team who drafts him will be basing the pick on potential, and a back like Ryan Moats or Eric Shelton might supplant him in that 4th slot.
