CDS Profile
Chris's dramatic fall-off during what was expected to be a fantastic final year at FSU is hard to understand. He barely deserves to be in our database after such a horrendous performance. However, most scouts feel that all of it is in his head, and there has never been any question that he has the measurables, the arms or the overall skill set to compete in the NFL. So, Chris will get a shot in a camp, and with the right coaching staff he could very well suprise and maybe even end up being a far better pro than he was a college senior QB. He has a strong arm and very good athleticism. He can make all of the throws and escape with his feet when necessary. However, his accuracy isn't great and his prone to some real bonehead decisions from time to time. He forces the ball too much, and uses too much of a sidearm delivery style. His intangibles (to cut to the chase) are poor, and that has become more and more of a factor in NFL scouting deparmtent's overall analysis.
