CDS Profile
Extremely talented back, explosive and powerful, considered one of the top three runningbacks for the 2005 NFL Draft. Has also battled a deep RB corps while at Auburn, claiming the starting position. Must improve in the passing game, but he is the best pure halfback-type in the draft. He reminds me a lot of a stronger Clinton Portis. Will most likely be the second back taken after teammate Ronnie Brown this April.
Ronnie is a tad more powerful, but Cadillac is a bit shiftier. Really impressed the scouts by working out in all the drills at the combine and participating in the Senior Bowl when he had very little to gain by doing so. Proved that his hands are good enough, showed good blitz pickup awareness and showed that he is the absolute complete package by even beating blazers Ryan Moats and J.J. Arrington with a fine 4.45 40-yard dash. Cadillac has excellent moves whether running outside or going up the middle. Can juke defenders and make people miss, but also has enough power to break anybody's arm tackles. He will hear his name called within the top 15 picks of round one for sure.
