Brent Pollock is a darkhorse candidate for honors as one of the top nose tackles available for the 2005 draft. Pollock transferred from El Camino JC in 2003, and did not see all that much playing time. He was a two-way player in high school (OG).
Pollock has a very good motor and is very strong. He had a breakout game against UNLV (9-26-04) when he registered 8 tackles (5 solo, 3 assists). Splitting time with CDS PPP Ronald Tupea at NT in 2004, he remains off the radar screens on most draft boards, but he is better than the 2nd-team all-Sunbelt performer, Tupea, and will be noticed because of his non-stop motor and solid bull-rush.
