CDS Profile
Bill is a powerful defensive end who's not built for sexier, new-age appeal. All he does is make plays. He is a workhorse who fights each play to the end regardless of the outcome. He's the guy that won't stay down. However, he does have some disadvantages as well.** Scouting Report:* Pro: Hard worker with an iron will. He is a high spirited player who gets the job done often on determination alone. He has above average speed, and great on-field awareness. Good tackler with an even better attitude.** Con: Undersized, at only 259lbs. he is bound to be overmatched and often overpowered at the next level. Difficult to see any flaws in his game at the college level, but they will be apparent in the NFL. He responds well to coaching, and will need to because his technique is less than adequate. ** Summary: Bill Swancutt is a safe pick late in the first day based on his potential and upside alone. He is a hard worker who is easily coachable. He may be a late-developing player, but will play, and possibly even start at the NFL level.** NFL Comparison: James Hall
