Sort of a black horse coming out of the MAC but could move high up draft boards. Possesses good size but not great. A very skilled receiver and route runner with good speed although he lacks the speed to be a tightend that can stretch the field. Clarke is also an adequate blocker although he could add some more weight as he is undersized. He excels in the redzone and the Toledo offense uses his skills very well. He has amassed 18 touchdowns in his career 3 short of the school record which he should break this year. Another problem with Clarke is that he doesn't display much upside meaning the guy the team drafts will have ths same amount of skills as the 5 year vet which is not what teams want out of their draft picks. Overall though one of the top tightends in college football.
Clarke suffered a devasting hip injury this season which wiped out his senior season. Medical examinations and his workouts will greatly affect his stock. If he proves he is 100% healthy he will be a top TE taken but if he can't proove it he could slip big time.
